About the

The VMRI has been developped upon the request of the Veterinary Mutual Recognition Facilitation Group and Head of European Veterinary Regulatory Authorities group by the French Agency for Veterinary Medicinal Products, which has already developped the HEVRA's web site.

How the VMRI is designed ?

The VMRI is a Summary of Product Characteristics based application. Each SPC is stored in a database record. This database makes the SPC Corpus.
The VMRI is the first application to implement a database approach to import, manage and search SPC !!

How the Search Engine does work ?

The search engine has been built to work directly on the SPC Corpus. Some administrative data are retrieved from the CTS (EudraTrack) database which is used by regulatory authorities to track and manage the mutual recognition procedure. CTS (EudraTrack) database is administred by BFARM/DIMDI and managed by Member States.

In case of lack of SPC, only the data retrieved from CTS (EudraTrack) database are presented. This creates a small document called Product Card

Since all the SPC are not present in the VMRI, some search can be unsuccessful.

SPC in national languages

The Summaries of Product Characteristics in CMS national languages can be available in PDF Format from the SPC.
